A Quantifiable Efficiency Benchmark
For a long time, PSA nitrogen generators have lacked a unified energy-efficiency evaluation standard. Customers have found it difficult to compare data such as “air-to-nitrogen ratio” and “energy consumption” from different manufacturers, and some products have even relied on overstated parameters and low efficiency to compete at low prices.
The core breakthrough of this group standard is that it systematically proposes, for the first time, a method for classifying energy-efficiency grades for PSA nitrogen generators. Using the “air-to-nitrogen ratio” (the amount of compressed air consumed to produce 1 m3 of nitrogen under standard conditions) and unit power consumption as core indicators, it establishes a grading system. Like the energy-efficiency labels on home appliances, the energy-saving level of every PSA nitrogen generator can now be measured against the same benchmark.
This is precisely the technical direction Jingqi has long upheld: making equipment more energy efficient while giving the industry a clearer efficiency baseline.
Why Jingqi?
For a standard to reach an “internationally advanced level”, two things are required: a large amount of real and reliable measured data, and a sufficiently broad technical vision.
Jingqi has been deeply engaged in the PSA air-separation field for more than twenty years. Thousands of its units are operating in electronics, new energy, chemical, metallurgy, and other industries, accumulating massive operating data across low to high purity ranges and from small to large flow rates. These data provide the scientific basis for defining energy-efficiency grades.
In terms of technical vision, Jingqi's confidence comes from deep international cooperation: a “golden technology triangle” formed with Japan's Kuraray and Japan's Iwatani. Jingqi absorbs world-leading material performance data and process experience, then adapts and verifies them under Chinese operating conditions. In this sense, the standard was built from the outset on global resource integration.
A System-Level Standard Perspective
Many people assume that a PSA nitrogen generator standard only specifies the technical indicators of the nitrogen generator itself. But the scope of this standard goes far beyond that.
It covers full-process system requirements from compressed-air input to nitrogen output, including matching with air compressors, refrigerated dryers, and filtration systems; energy-efficiency evaluation methods under variable operating conditions; and quality-control points for skid-mounted integrated systems.
In other words, it evaluates not an isolated piece of equipment, but the comprehensive energy efficiency of an entire system.
What Jingqi provides is full-process system integration from compressed-air input to nitrogen output. True energy savings can be achieved only when every link is properly matched and works together.
